Precautions for forklift driving

(1) Before driving, the driver shall first inspect and clean the site and passages to make them suitable for forklift operation and driving;

(2) When starting, first close the emergency switch and open the electric lock, then pull the position of the direction switch, sound the horn, and then start slowly and accelerate gradually. It is forbidden to start quickly by pressing the speed regulating pedal to prevent the motor from being burned out due to excessive starting current;

(3) When driving, it shall be accelerated gradually, and it is not allowed to operate at low speed for a long time;

(4) It is forbidden to pull the direction switch during driving. Only after the vehicle stops stably can the direction switch be pulled for reversing;

(5) Avoid sudden braking as far as possible. In case of emergency, quickly pull down the knife switch, step on the brake pedal and stop immediately;

(6) Sound the horn when starting and turning. When turning, downhill, uneven road or passing through narrow channels, slow down and pay attention to safety;

(7) When driving on the road, pass on the right side, the bottom end of the fork shall be about 300 ~ 400mm above the ground, and the gantry shall be in the backward inclined position; When two vehicles travel in the same direction, keep a distance of more than 2m from the front to the back;

(8) When multiple forklifts drive on the platform, the distance between the front and rear shall be more than 5m. When they are in the same direction on a narrow platform, they shall not be parallel, and they shall be more than 0.3m away from the edge of the platform;

(9) When a forklift is towing a trailer, it is forbidden to drive continuously in a curve to avoid large current discharge and safety impact; No matter the entire load, no-load, uphill, downhill, etc., reverse driving is strictly prohibited; When turning, slow down to avoid goods scattering. At the same time, pay attention to the difference of inner wheels to prevent the trailer from scratching the inside or driving out of the road;

(10) Generally, the traveling motor and oil pump motor of battery forklift shall not work at the same time to prolong the service life of the battery;

(11) When the working voltage is lower than the minimum limit voltage of the vehicle, stop working and charge in time;

(12) If any abnormality is found during driving, stop immediately for inspection and eliminate the fault in time; It is forbidden to carry people on forks and trailers; Driving with faults is strictly prohibited; Regular maintenance;

(13) Do not raise the fork too high while driving. When entering and leaving the operation site or driving, pay attention to whether there are obstacles scraping and collision above; When the load is running, if the fork rises too high, it will increase the overall center of gravity height and affect the stability of the forklift.

To sum up, forklift workers must be trained and qualified before taking up their posts; Forklift workers shall wear corresponding labor protection articles; The packing operation shall be carried out according to the forklift operating procedures to prevent physical injury or damage to the product; Pay attention to safety when starting the forklift.
