Operation for forklift safe start

Before starting the forklift, first check whether there are people, livestock and other obstacles next to and under the vehicle, and close the door. When starting, step on the clutch pedal and shift; Then release the parking brake and check whether there is incoming traffic behind through the rearview mirror; Then loosen the clutch, press the accelerator pedal correctly, sound the horn and start slowly. At night, in foggy weather and when the line of sight is not clear, the front and rear lights must be turned on simultaneously. The correct starting shall make the forklift stable without impulse, vibration, hard pulling and flameout. The forklift can start smoothly as long as the gear is correctly selected according to the terrain and load conditions. Pay attention to the excellent cooperation of the clutch pedal, accelerator pedal and parking brake.

1. Starting operation method: when starting and releasing the clutch pedal, the start can be faster; When the clutch begins to engage, the forklift body shakes slightly, and the pedal feels like a top foot, the pedal relaxation speed should slow down; At the same time, step on the accelerator pedal slowly to gradually increase the engine speed of the forklift. After the power increases, the vehicle will start smoothly. After the forklift starts moving, the clutch pedal shall be wholly and quickly released.

2. Start uphill. Hold the parking brake lever with one hand and align the steering wheel with the other hand when starting uphill. Step down the accelerator pedal with one foot and slowly release the clutch pedal with the other foot. When the clutch is engaged, further release the parking brake lever and fully release the clutch pedal. The above actions must be appropriately coordinated. Otherwise, the forklift will slip back, or the engine will shut down. When starting on an uphill slope, it is not allowed to step on the accelerator pedal and brake pedal with your right foot without using the parking brake.

3. Start on the downhill. After engaging the transmission gear, slowly release the clutch pedal and release the parking brake while slowly pressing the accelerator pedal. After the vehicle starts, adjust the opening of the shutter or radiator curtain to make the engine temperature rise rapidly and keep the water temperature stable at 80-90 degrees.
