The oil leakage of the master cylinder of the forklift was the first problem, and the user responded that the forklift did not brake.
When we lifted the cap, we found no brake fluid in the brake fluid cup.
The forklift brake master cylinder may have this situation due to the following reasons:
1. Due to the special working environment of the forklift, the brakes are used more frequently (this will not happen in a short time);
2. The brake master cylinder pushrod is adjusted too long and often. It is easy to be damaged during operation;
3. The forklift operator uses excessive force when braking, causing damage to the master cylinder;
4. It is undeniable that there may be quality problems in the production of the master cylinder.
Precautions for the installation and maintenance of the brake master cylinder:
1. When installing a new master cylinder, carefully install the pushrod into the piston groove, and pay attention to the coaxiality of the piston and pushrod. If it is a master cylinder with a booster, the depth of the piston rod of the front cavity must be measured before replacement. When it is the same as the old master cylinder, it can be replaced. Of course, the same model is acceptable.
2. After replacing the new master cylinder, the original brake fluid must be completely drained, and the newly qualified brake fluid of the exact specification must be replaced. Try not to mix the new and the old or the different brake fluid. Otherwise, the brake master cylinder will be damaged.
3. Put the brake fluid into the oil cup in an appropriate amount, step on the brake plate, about 2/3 of the stroke, back and forth several times, each time interval is 5 seconds (depending on the situation, can be adjusted according to work experience), try to make the inner cavity of the master cylinder full of brake fluid, for forklifts, the wheel cylinder can adjust this.
4. When connecting the oil pressure pipeline of the brake master cylinder (please check whether the specifications of the brake oil pipe joint and the outlet thread of the master cylinder are consistent), you must check the seal of the master cylinder and the connecting oil pipe joint.
5. Step on the brake plate several times, with an interval of 5 seconds each time (appropriate according to work experience), and exhaust the air in the pump at the bleed screws of the master cylinder. There is no bleed screw on the master pump.
6. Adjust the gap of the brake pads and brake drums and the stroke of the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder, and add an appropriate amount of brake fluid in the oil cup.
7. After debugging the performance of the master cylinder and the connection of the oil pipes, it can be driven. Must be safe and rationalized operation, timely maintenance, and reduce unnecessary maintenance costs.
