What are the faults that forklifts are prone to at different period
1. Fault characteristics of forklift truck in the early stage of operation
2. Fault characteristics of forklift during regular use
3. Fault characteristics of forklift near overhaul period
4. Fault characteristics of forklift truck in different seasons
1. Fault characteristics of forklift truck in the early stage of operation
Forklift in the early use (equivalent to the in-and-out period) fails high to low (drop curve). The early use of failure rate is related to the quality of manufacturing or maintenance and the use of the in-and-out period.
If the forklifts are manufactured of high quality and maintained correctly,
the initial failure rate is low.
Otherwise, the early failure rate will be high.
The early faults are mostly the loosening or loosening of the connecting bolt;
Pipe joint looseness or loose: residual metal debris or sand casting easily blocked oil or clip strain in relative motion friction parts (such as the actuator cylinder in a hydraulic system caused by an oil spill, adjusted clearance or pressure change, to make the parts can’t execution ability, some joint because of the bolt is not tight and water, oil, air, etc.
2. Fault characteristics of forklift during regular use
The forklift truck enters the normal operation stage after the close period.
Forklift operation in this stage, as long as according to the provisions of maintenance and correct use, generally there will be no failure, even if the failure is the random failure (this fault is hidden, maintenance or inspection is not easy to find). Hence, the failure rate is very low, the curve gently rising.
If the forklift fails during the expected service life, it is primarily accidental or caused improper use and maintenance.
3. Fault characteristics of forklift near overhaul period
When the forklift is close to the overhaul period, the loss of each component increases, and the technical condition deteriorates.
The fault characteristic of this stage is the high failure rate, and every day, most of it is caused by excessive wear and aging of parts, the blockage, leakage, and bad phenomenon in the oil road appear more.
4. Fault characteristics of forklift truck in different seasons
The failure rate of forklifts is related to the season.
The failure rate is higher in winter than in summer when the machine is used at a low temperature.
For example, fuel supplies are often poorly atomized in winter due to low temperatures.
Fuel is easy to solidify oil blockage and not easy to start or engine running flameout and other faults;
Poor fluidity of lubricating oil accelerates wear of parts;
Battery leakage resulting in the engine is not easy to start, braking is unreliable, and liquid transmission is not standard.
